Expect Miracles

In the continues search for answers, some understanding to the chaos called life came from an unexpected source yesterday. In turning to my bookshelves my gaze feel upon a book that has sat unopened for many years. After numerous books read, many being returned to the used bookstore it would seem that this one particular book has been waiting patiently until the correct moment in time to truly reveal itself.

Yesterday, I opened to the introduction and was pleasantly surprised to read of a humans parallel story of trauma, turbulence, and decisions that left one searching for answers. This individual after leading an unconscious life for so many years, found her answers in a book. Not just any book, but a handbook, a manual for the most precious commodity that we have, life.

As I began to read a huge sense of relief came over me. In the introduction of this book mention was given to the book the Mists of Avalon, the mythic tale of King Arthur and the enchanted Isle of Avalon where priestesses once cohabited alongside mortal men. It speaks about a magical islands that unless the mists part the treasures that lay beyond are inaccessible. What one requires in order to experience the isle is to see beyond the limitations of our physical world and to have faith. To believe that it is real.

Once we believe, then miracles happen. 'A parting of the mists, a shift in perception, a return to love.' Hence the title of the little book that sat patiently on my shelf for more than ten years, A Return to Love, by Marianne Williamson.

As I sat and pondered this brief introduction it became quite evident that this is the answer to all questions...LOVE. For when we make decisions based on love, act upon love and share love, we can truly expect miracles. With faith all things are possible, we just need to believe and we need love. We need to love ourselves enough to make decisions that serve not only ourselves, but those around us and all living things. Love is the answer to every question, every time in any circumstance.

With a new understanding of the term love it begins with self care. It begins by loving oneself, mistakes and all and accepting that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. When we do things from the place opposite of love, that being fear we make unconscious decisions in the moment that we hope will have a positive outcome.

So, with this deeper understanding of the term love it is now time to consciously act upon it. Choose love in all cases and in all times. When we become still, we recognize if we are coming from a place of love or fear and we are then able to make decisions accordingly. Be in love with yourself, the world around you both physical and non-physical and be in love with love. And most importantly expect miracles.
